2025 Jeep Wrangler 392 Build: 74W Portals, 40″ Nittos, Ryno Beadlocks and More
When people hear the name Stellar Built, most think Toyota, but we also build our fair share of Jeeps, Broncos, Raptors, and many other off-road platforms.
This 2025 Jeep Wrangler 392 came into Stellar Built for a full 74Weld portal axle conversion, all while keeping it well-mannered for the street.
Alex wanted a Jeep capable of wheeling technical terrain out here in Northern California, so we built this 392 around a 74W Gen 2 portal axles, 40″ Nittos, and a dialed suspension package. This is the type of build that brings customers to Stellar Built from all over Northern California… we see rigs roll in from South Lake Tahoe, Redding, Roseville, Auburn, Lincoln, Loomis, Vacaville, Fairfield, and the Bay Area. Not many shops specialize in Portal Axles for multiple vehicle platforms, but we do. Whether you have a Jeep, Bronco, Toyota or Ford… you can trust that Stellar Built is the go-to shop in Northern California for the full build.

74Weld Gen 2 Portal Axles

The center of this build is a 74Weld Gen 2 portal axle kit. Portals will provide impressive ground clearance (roughly 4″) and drivetrain strength without stacking excessive lift or preload on coilovers. Alongside the portals, we installed a Dynatrac HD ProSteer ball joint kit to give the steering system the durability it needs to handle the added leverage and abuse that comes with technical trails out here in NorCal like Rubicon and Fordyce.
Wheels and Tires

Wheels are Raceline RT951F Forged Ryno beadlocks in an 8×6.5 bolt pattern with a +44 offset to hug the portals, wrapped in 40×13.50R17LT Nitto Trail Grappler tires. We finished the wheel package with 74Weld hub caps, and included a tire patch and plug kit.
Suspension, Steering, and Handling

For suspension, this build is running a JL Wrangler 1.5″ True Dual Rate lift kit with 6Pak shocks and Rubicon Edition sway bar end links, adding a bit more lift, while not being over the top. We paired that with a Dog-Legged tie rod and RockSport RED stabilizer kit built specifically for the JL/JT platform, plus a lower rear shock relocation and clearance kit to keep everything tucked and functional at full droop and full stuff. The links got hit with Steel It for long-term rust and corrosion protection out on wet or muddy trails.
Alignment and Fit

As always, we recommend alignment after suspension work, and a suspension and wheel retorque at the 500-mile mark after any lift install, and Stellar Built includes a retorque service with every kit we install.
