We're Getting Ready to Install your New Camper, Topper or RTT!

Are You Stoked or What?

A Few Things Worth Talking About

Whether you’re looking to support the additional weight of your new camper with new leaf springs, mount/balance a new set of tires, re-gear your rig or install some performance upgrades, we can handle everything right here in-house.

1. Suspension

The most important thing to address before or at the time of installation is suspension. The added weight of a Camper, Topper, and/or RTT requires proper spring rate and damping to maintain ride height, control, and overall drivability. Most of our customers opt for an upgraded suspension to support the new weight. At a minimum, we recommend an upgraded leaf pack for trucks and upgraded springs for SUVs. Below are a few other areas to consider upgrading before or during your Camper/Topper or RTT install.

2. Electrical and Lighting

Once you add a camper, topper, or RTT, electrical becomes a key part of the setup. Powering fridges, lighting, charging devices, and accessories requires more than the factory system can support. Most builds benefit from a dedicated battery system with proper power management, along with clean wiring and distribution. We regularly install dual battery setups, RedArc and Blue Sea systems, solar integration, and Starlink power solutions for extended trips. Lighting is another major upgrade, including camp lights, scene lighting, rock lights, and interior LED setups to improve visibility and usability around camp. A properly built electrical system keeps everything reliable, organized, and ready to use at any time.

3. Overland Packages

With the camper or RTT installed, many customers choose to build out the rest of the vehicle for durability and capability. Overland packages typically include front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, and skid plates to protect the truck when off roading. From there, upgrades like roof racks, light bars, and full wheel and tire packages help improve both function and overall performance. For heavier builds, big brake kits are also a smart upgrade to maintain stopping power under load. These components are designed to work together as a complete system, turning your truck into a fully capable and reliable setup for daily driving, travel, and off road use.
